The 2025 Asian NGO International Development Forum, held on June 27-28, at the International Conference Hall, National Taiwan University of Law School, was a pivotal event focused on Sustainable Development Goal 16+: Promoting a peaceful, just, and inclusive society. APLE was honored to be invited to speak at this significant forum, where the critical issue of ensuring children’s access to justice was highlighted.

During the presentation, APLE Director, Mr. Seila Samleang, underscored its unwavering dedication and deep commitment over the past 22 years in advocating for child survivors. The organization has tirelessly worked to ensure that these vulnerable individuals receive just and timely legal remedies, emphasizing the importance of a robust legal framework to protect children’s rights.

The forum brought together over 20 international NGO leaders and experts from countries including the United States, Pakistan, Japan, Cambodia, South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Attendees gained invaluable insights into the latest international development trends and heard firsthand experiences from prominent speakers, including the CEOs of major NGO platforms in the US and Asia.

This gathering served not only as a platform for knowledge exchange but also as a reminder of the collective responsibility to safeguard the rights of children globally. APLE play a crucial role in fostering a more equitable and just society.
