On April 3, the Tech Coalition hosted a crucial briefing at Amazon’s Singapore office to combat Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA). More than 85 experts from 16 countries gathered to discuss key trends in the Asia-Pacific region and collaborative strategies for enhancing child online protection.
During this meeting, Mr. Seila Samleang, Director of APLE, addressed the challenges, barriers, and significant opportunities for collaboration among stakeholders in the APAC region.
Key outcomes from the briefing included pilot programs aimed at detecting OCSEA in live streaming, grooming, and sextortion. Additionally, upcoming webinars will focus on OCSEA trends and foster cooperation between regional governments, law enforcement agencies, and tech companies to effectively tackle these pressing challenges.
