In an effort towards combating child sexual exploitation, Mr. Seila Samleang took part in a regional workshop in Bangkok, Thailand from March 4th to 7th, organized by ECPAT International. His involvement signals APLE’s dedication to addressing this grave issue on all fronts.
The workshop brought to light insights into the realities of child sexual exploitation and abuse in the region. The data presented went beyond mere statistics; they served as a stark alarm, highlighting the pervasive and entrenched challenges threatening the safety and welfare of our children.
Key discussions shed light on the vast scale of this menace and the societal and structural factors that perpetuate it. Armed with this newfound understanding, APLE is now more equipped than ever to formulate and implement strategies that do not merely aim to fight this scourge but to prevent it outright.
In facing these challenges, the support and vigilance of our community are invaluable. By joining forces and raising awareness, we can build a strong collective defense against the forces endangering our children’s futures.
