Expert Roundtable Discussion On Online Child Safety and The Importance of ISPs’ Participation to Child Protection

Phnom Penh – 5 December 2016, APLE Cambodia in collaboration with International Child Redress Project (ICRP) organized an Expert Roundtable Discussion: “Online Child Safety and The Importance of ISPs’ Participation to Child Protection.” The main objectives of the discussion are to provide overview on the nature of online child sexual exploitation in Cambodia and the roles and responsibility of stakeholders, including the internet industry, in making internet a safer environment for digital children; to demonstrate good practices from other countries; and to identify the challenges of practices within Cambodia and possible solutions. As results, all participants, especially ISPs have expressed their willingness to work with different stakeholders and help disseminate this matter to their customers to ensure online child safety.
