Recently, APLE Cambodia and Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap province signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Formal Cooperation. The MoU is intended to be a collaborative working arrangement and both parties acknowledged that no contractual relationship is created among them, but agreed to work together in the spirit of partnership to ensure that there is united and responsive leadership to achieve the best possible outcomes for shared clients.
After child victims have been identified in APLE Cambodia-initiated cases, APLE Cambodia will offer free of charge legal support and representation in court to the victims and/or their families. In addition, APLE Cambodia assumes responsibility for access to appropriate aftercare services, including medical services. This approach requires APLE Cambodia to develop strong partnerships with organizations that provide high quality medical and other aftercare services to child victims and/or their families. That’s why Angkor Hospital for Children and APLE Cambodia have agreed to enter into a formal partnership for the provision of combined aftercare services to shared clients.
