Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) includes images, videos, writings, and recordings that show or exploit children in sexual ways. The term “child sexual abuse material” is being used more often to replace “child pornography” because it more accurately describes the content as abuse, not pornography. As professionals in child protection, we prefer to use the term “CSAM” instead of “child pornography.”
