In a national study in Cambodia, workshops were held with children and teachers in order to understand what they believe are the best practices to apply for creating a safer internet for children.

Please read the section “What is needed for a safer internet” pages 27-29 from APLE (2018) “They had pictures of me”- National study on the nature and extent of online child sexual exploitation in Cambodia.

Reflection Questions:

1. How do the responses in prevention methods differ between the children and the teachers?

2. Why do you think it is important to understand both teacher’s and children’s points of view when discussing solutions?

3. What can you learn from the assessment of their responses?
